Just curious to know what is the purpose that Chrysler intended by having the passenger rear and driver side front exhaust manifold bolts threading into the water jackets on the cylinder heads? I find by doing this it just allows for these areas to be more prone to coolant leaks.
 
Probably had something to do with how the heads were cast. Very simple to overcome.
 
There are also a few timing chain cover bolts that go into the water jacket also...

No car maker EVER intended this stuff to last more than a very few years, perhaps in many cases "less than" a few years. Frankly, the fact that we can resurrect them as we do must surely say something about engineering "back then."

Huh....And för us swedes,what does RTV stand for??

RTV,UCA,LCA,IMO etc. etc. beginning to learn.
Silicone has a much better place to be :D
