I have a set of w2 that needs new seats and vlalves. Should I have them rebuilt or buy new heads. They were on a 10.0-1 360 engine will mostly be street and sometimes race. Thanks

Besides there weight, there's nothing wrong with a W2 head. I fail to see a good reason to get rid of them. Unless you see that spending thousands for a minor bennifit in a slightly better port on a aluminum head is worth it. Then yea, go for it.

There's no such thing as "bad head".... (unless it's cracked...)

Machine shop said the valve seats where worn I was just going to replace the valves because so everything was new. Thanks

maybe get a 2nd opinion, 16 new seats is big $, and how worn? my old heads had somewhat worn seats, installed new 11/32" guides and 2.055"/1.625" valves-all good for the past 20 years

If it's got a 2.02 valve, go to a 2.05, may not need a seat at all.
