D/Darts -- Info and requests

1966 Dodge D-Dart

Ralph Costa ran in 1966 (D/S) and 1967 (C/S).

The D/Dart was classed in 1968 (F/Stock).

For 1968, Ted also put together a 1967 Barracuda 'Fastback' 383/270 HP for G/Stock.
Don't think it has ever been shown....

This is the car that I own. Was hoping that someone on the board might have pictures or any other info on the car. Can't seem to find anything on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Ted said he doesn't have any pictuers of it when he raced it.

I got a couple of pictures of the car in the pits plus about a dozen time slips from Ralph a few years ago.

Got a couple of pictures from Jon Rasback, the second owner, when he ran it in L/SA at Lapeer Dragway in 1970. No time slips.

I got some engine stuff from Al Adam, the third owner, but no pictures or time slips.

The car is going to be in the June issue of Mopar Muscle, in the Hidden Treasure section.

The only 'names' I can come up with.

As per Eastern Drag News,

One of the D-Darts was lettered 'ICHABOD', and won at Lebanon Valley in
1968, running F/Stock.

It was listed as a 1966 Dart, so it was 'definitely' a D-Dart.
Times posted for 'F/S' Class wins in 1968.

* 13.89
* 14.01
* 14.66 (O.C.T = Only Car Trophy)

And another D-Dart ended up in the hands of a 'Girl' from Putnam Valley, New York
who had small lettering on the upper door panels 'CINDERELLA'.

Laura or Laurie,,,,,,,,,,last name..????

The D-Dart came from Florida.

I'm sure she didn't realize the rarity of the D-Dart, or maybe she did....????
