Okay dad says i have all the front end parts but all i need is a rebuild kit i know it's a stupid question but first he said i needed a full front end kit now just a rebuild kit can anyone tell me what it is and how much they cost.

Thanks, Tyler

You will want upper and lower control arm bushing, Upper and lower ball joints, inner and out tie rods, tie rod adjuster sleeves and strut rod bushings. Those are the major parts that go bad. Also check to make sure the strut rods arent bent.

You will need the same part but the ball joints will need to be for a 73-76 instead of your 72.

If you're swapping to a big bolt pattern and swapping spindles, you'll also need upper contol arms from a big bolt pattern car, otherwise, the big ball joint won't fit.

At a minimum, inspect control rods. If not bent or threads stripped, I'd feel safe to re-use. Same for adjustment sleeves. Replace any joint with a split or missing boot. Those that have good boots, inspect for wear. If worn, replace.

Check lower ball joint for wear. When checking, be sure wheel bearings are secured properly, otherwise you'll get a false indication when pulling on the tire.

As long as everything is apart, change the bushings. They are a pain in the butt to change, but not expensive. Go to rubber or poly as you like. This makes a surprising improvement in steering precision.
