I'm getting tired of replacing master my cylinder every few years due to surface rust. Has anyone ever tried the late style plastic master with a early 67-68 style power brake booster. If so... what application did you order it for ?

Yea... i've done the paint thing that pealed eventually, thought about plating it too but if a late plastic is a direct bolt on problem solved for ever.
And yes its is on the outside ... haha
I also kind of like the look of the white plastic reservoir with the 2 black screw on caps it almost matches the washer reservoir bottle.

You could have it powder coated in cast iron color or just clear coat.

All good info guys thx ,But not quite the answer I was looking for.
Question was...Has anyone swapped the ole cast master for the late style plastic.

I do appreciate all the suggestions your giving tho. thx

I have and so have many others you can actually buy an adapter I believe but swap you can't unless your running front discs, see the later style is for discs and disc masters are different

To use the late model M/C you need to use the 4 to 2 hole adapter.
Not sure if you can use that adapter on a booster?
I would call some of the different aftermarket brake supply company's, and see if they are doing what your asking.
