Here's what they look like

Really don't need them to R&R a carrier. Use it incorrectly and you can ruin the case removing built in preload.

The ease of taking the carrier in and out.... If you don't use a case spreader you really need to pry hard to get the carrier out and really need to work to get them back in...

Just makes it a lot quicker....

Is that a AL version Cracked?

I did them for a living. I'd never do it without a spreader. Only someone not really concentrating can bend a housing with it.
