dart fender signals?!?

I converted my 73 dart to a 72 nose. My turn signal indicators, the ones that go on the top of the fender by the hood. My 73 ones dont work in my 72 fenders. Im curious as to witch ones fit the 72 fenders. I was just on ebay and people were saying 70-74 were the same!? im really confused here someone point me in the rite direction.

I had 74 turn signals on my 72 fenders and they fit. What makes them not fit?

well my 73 signals have a hole where the rubber wire piece goes through and then another hole where a coarse thread screw goes through. on the 72 theres a hole for the wire and then a really big hole where the 73 had a tiny one of the coarse screw.
