Dart/Scamp trunk lid prop rod help??

Anybody have pictures of how the prop rods go for the deck lid?? :read2: The rods that allow the trunklid to stay up.
It is on a '76 Scamp. But I think the Dart/Valiant's are pretty similar?

should stay up by its self, my 1974 dart has no problem

They are basically small torsion bars.

The small end goes in 1 of the 4 holes in the trunk support. The hole that you put in in will vary the tension on the rod.

The 2 bars criss-cross under the package tray.

The other end holds the plastic rubbing block that rides on the hinge.

It is basically a 2 person job. Someone has to hold the lid while you install the rods.

The Scamp looks slighty different in that area. Installion method is the same right?

Yep, same technique. My car is Dart Sport with a fold-down rear seat.
