Dash Frame Fitment

So Im looking for a replacement dash frame for my 70 Swinger rallye dash thumbwheel radio and Im assuming that frames from other years and models would fit into my car as well, does anyone know what will interchange with my car? That would be a big help in tracking down a replacement frame.

Just a guess.......1969 barracuda; 1970 Duster; 1970 dart. All Rallye dashes.

'67 has round radio holes, and '68 has a unique padded lower dash (not sure if the frames would be the same).

The 67-69 frames have the ignition in the dash, you might want to avoid those.

That's true too.....I forgot about that. LOL.....I better keep my nose out of anything pre 1970 and mind my own business.

A previous owner did quite the hackjob when mounting a knob style radio into a thumbwheel frame, totally butchered it. Last night I tried to see if I can get my thumbwheel into it and I cant, it needs serious fabricating or replacing

The 70 Dart ralley guage dash is a one year only, you might be able to get a 71 Demon to work but there are differences like the radio as you know...

I have a 68 dash I can cut the radio area out of and mail you if you want

Is this clip location correct for you? Is the area marked to cut out adequate?

Hey Doug. Turns out that your dash wont be a suitable donor, it doesnt have the necessary bezel mounts for a rallye bezel, and the radio mounts are different, but it is very close! I thank you very much for the offer though, if you are ever in 'Toon, message me and Ill buy you a beer

So I think I have found a frame, it is from a 1970 Duster, the owner of it says that it will fit my Swinger, but I would like verification from the FABO experts on this, will it fit??

Thats fantastic, and Im told that it is, but Ill double check of course, Ill be able to tell once he sends me a couple of pictures.
