Is there a difference in the dash frame between a deluxe and non-deluxe..?

Yes a lot more holes for mounting the face trim.

Overall the shape and structure of the dash frame are the same. The gauge cluster opening, radio opening and heater/AC controls openings are the same. As pointed out already the deluxe trim will have a lot more mounting holes. So, if you're going from a dash frame with standard trim and adding the deluxe trim, you'll have a bunch of mounting holes to add. If you're going from deluxe trim to standard trim, well, you'll have a bunch of mounting holes visible that you'll have to fill somehow. This is the backside of a deluxe trim dash, you can see where some of the extra mounting holes are
