Dash VIN Plate

Restoring a 1969 Valiant and my question is,does the VIN plate on the dash get painted dash color or is it painted black.

The VIN plate is black and has the Chrysler logo on it. You can get the correct rivets and the Chrysler dry transfer here...

Confirm with others if your car would have come with the Chrysler logo on the VIN tag. According to the link, some may not have had it.
