Dashboard Mounted VIN Tag

[68VAHCODE]

Question....my dashboard mounted VIN Tag is upside down....ie when standing at the front of the car facing the windshield, the tag is upside down.

Tag looks to be original.

Phoney tag or disgruntled auto worker mounting it upside down?

Is it just the pic or does it look like the dash was repainted at one time. Possibly they removed it and reinstalled it upside down? Although it looks like the fresher paint is away from the edge a bit.

I wouldn't mess with it. Just let it be upside down.

My guess is its one of very few that got put on wrong. I've seen much stranger things come off assembly lines.
