I have a 1965 dodge dart I need to remove the dashboard. I removed the 5-6 screws but something is still holding it back. Do I need to remove the light and wiper knobs also?

Thanks for reading

do you have the windshield out?
if so & those screws are out--
loosen the 2 bolts on either side above the kick panel (don't remove) use this as a pivot
loosen up the column & remove bolts at the brake pedal assembly.
should also have a brace or 2 that mounts to the firewall.

when all bolts are loose & column is lowered/removed pivot the dash forward & you can see what part of the wire harness is holding you up along with the heater cables.

What we have here is... Failure to communicate. The remove the instrument panel ( not dashboard ) the speedometer cable will need to be unscrewed from the back of that instrument. One a second generation A you can remove 1 screw that secures the fuse box and set the headlight switch out of the inst' panel to gain the arm/hand space needed.

my fault-- I cannot read..

the dash assembly is easy-- just as redfish posted-- speedo cable hook-up-- you might have to reach around & pull the "U" shaped clamps that hold the wiring harness in to give more space.
