I'm working on my '64 Dart GT and want to replace the headlight switch. Need to remove
the left side dash cover. In order to do this, I need to remove the headlight and wipers knobs. I'm not sure if they just pull off or if they unscrew. I certainly don't want to break anything experimenting. Also need to remove the end of the shifter. (It has the push button
trans.) Also, the knobs have a knotched nut holding them in. Any help would be appreciated.

The light switch knob normall does not come off. That is, there is a release button on the switch, you pull the switch out after disconnecting the battery. Hold the release button in, give it the "magic wiggle" and the knob and shaft will come out

pull the switch full on, then push release button. Don't push button at reinstall. Tapered end of stem guides it in. Nothing to it after you've done it a few times. :)
