The car is getting lexan windows.never put them in before but giving it a.shot.made.the clips for quarter windows.couldnt find what I need to do it with out welding on the new paint.they should have been mocked up before paint.im going to try welding the tabs to the window support tubes screwed to the OSB.any tips on this project would be appreciated

I welded tabs on my window brackets & thru bolted them to the upper edge of the door.

I cut the back of the tube and going to thru bolt it.brought the window in alitte closer @ the bottom. Some.tricky stuff.

I have gotten the dart 99 percent complete.alot of work but it turned out ok.416" 340 w2 heads flowing 285@600 roller cam ried power glide,dana60 caltrac setup.rms altercation front.painted interior destroyer gray.havent made a pass yet.should be in the low to mid 6s.i think Dave would be good with the car.

Sorry for the delay in response. I have been busy with my real job. I haven't weighed the car yet. I'm guessing 2650/2750. I wanted to put the big M and Mopar on the sides.family says leave it alone.it does look fast.this engine took a dart sport to 6.50@105.it should run alitte better than that in this car. I'm alitte excited and nervous about turning this thing loose off the trans brake.

Thanks Neil it took alot of time rubbing the paint off without getting into the clear. I started with a decal removal wheel.and went to 2000/3000 and alot of polishing.

Nerve wrecking work, I didn't want to get into the clear.but decided it was coming off and I would deal with the consequences. I got lucky and it has a good layer of clear.or should I say had a good thick coat

Dave's hot wheels car is finished.416 " small block 6.68 @101 mph is the best 1/8 mile pass.had about 12 passes on it. Made it to the 5th round last week.sometimes.being lucky is better than being good.car runs good for what it is everything works good power glide is alitte different than the 727.and leaving off the top bulb is alot different. I think with more practice I will be more consistent than the footbrake method.i raised the front end some more. Caltrac mono leafs could use less arch.butt is alitte too high but it is working.for now.
