Today is another reminder to never forget, both December 7th and 9/11, both dates that should be forever burned in our memories. We should never forget and be forever vigilant of our enemies, both external and internal.
Although the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor happened 69 years ago today, far before my time, it has special meaning to me because my uncle was on board the U.S.S. West Virginia that morning in Pearl Harbor, anchored immediately behind and outboard of the U.S.S. Arizona. His memories of that day stayed with him and effected him up until his dying day.
THANK YOU to all veterans and all current members of our armed forces for your service!
:salute:

And for gods sake, please dont buy a fricking POS toyota. Thank you to the veterans out there!!!!

Am watching World at war series on the military chanell. 55 million dead in WW II..The U.S lost 300 000 brave soldiers. Canada lost around 160 000 soldiers. Britain was over 400 000.

Russia lost millions as did the Nazi's.

Civilian casualties were enormous. Never again, lets hope!!

It's about 1:30pm, and so far besides this post, I haven't heard nor seen a single reference to Pearl Harbor. Personally, I think that sucks.

A day I share with everyone :happy10: I find more and more people that don't remember even the big question What happened :angry7: But that's that. So I give them a history story and or event in life.
To our bold and strong for fathers

Thank you for all you have given and sacrificed for us.
I would tell the story I told today :clock: But it's time for preparation for a night with the freedom they help me keep :color:

And I thank the one's today here and everywhere serving the same cause
For Us

Yes,lets not forget.. God bless all the souls of the men/women we lost that day:salute::salute::salute:

Thanks to all the active and retired military!=D>=D>:notworth::salute:

One of the most eerie and and awe inspiring things I have seen in my life is battleship row at Pearl Harbor. There are monuments in the channel were the ships were moored on that fateful day in 1941. I was an 18 year old kid from the city who had never experienced anything like that. There I stood at the rail in my dress whites uniform saluting those monuments and the Arizona. Something I will never forget. Something that makes me proud to call myself an American. Something that makes me pray for our Armed Forces abroad. God bless our troops and God bless America!

also my Daddy died at age 51 33yrs ago today due to a farming accident. . He was in Korean war, I was in Viet nam and none of my family dodged their military duty. I still miss him lots to this day, thanks to all the vets that served. I still have my zippo with
sayings engraved.

We are the unwilling, led by the unqualified, to do the impossible, for the ungrateful.

You haven't lived until you have almost died. and

For those who fight for it, life has a flavor the protected will never know, thanks Joe

I will never forget either. God Bless those who gave all.

God Bless those who served and are serving now. My father went
ashore at Utah Beach, Normandy.

He made it back home. I served 6 years in the Indiana Army National Guard
starting in 1966.

My brother also served with me. My nephew, his son served in Desert Storm.

Every time I am in one of the local Wal Marts I always speak to the soldiers
that are shopping and thank them. They bus them in from Camp Atterbury
7 miles up the road.

You know.....
Other than this post I have not seen or heard a peep about Pearl Harbor today either!

Wow....
Thank you to all of you that have served this great country.

Later,
Bruce B.
