Decoding a 65 Valliant.

Hey all.picking up our 2nd Valliant rag top this Saturday.got the 1rst one in January,a 65 Signet and this one is a v200.just wondering what the best site is to run the vin #s to find out more info.

The VIN will only give you a bit of info. Mostly year, model, and 6 or 8 cyl. The fender tag has more option info, and a build sheet would give you just about everything if you can find one in the car somewhere. You can also try to get a copy of the IBM card and option sheet from Chrysler Historical (Stellantis?) I was able to get them for my '66's.

Cool car. A dealership here in Connecticut that I worked at in the mid 90s, the landlord had one with a hopped up 225. I've always wondered what happened to it so I tend to watch these threads. Please keep us posted, you've got a fan here.
