Degenerative disc disease

-
I'm 39 and have this. I had to have my L3 L4 L5 and S1 vertebrae fused. That was about 2 years ago. This is probally what your looking at, if you don't get the stenosis at least looked at you can become paralyzed. It sucks having 2 rods and the accompanying hardware in my back, but i can at least walk now.

I'm 52 and I've had it for over 15 yrs. Had 2 surgeries and even though they told me surgeries could help or make it worse the surgeries helped a lot. I got a cage in my neck and discs fused together there. Only issue is I have limited mobility but I had that before due to the intense pain. I have adapted to it. I went from excruciating pain that felt like my left arm was ripped off that even 2 Vicodin only took the edge off of it to occasional pain that Ibuprofen takes care of. The low back surgery wasn't as successful as the neck surgery but it cut the pain in half. Find a good spinal surgery specialist and have him look at your MRI. I ended up seeing 3 of them before I found the right one.
