I have a 1972 Demon and am kicking around the idea of molding in the seam of the cast fender extensions and fenders with either metal to metal or bare metal brand fillers. What do you think, has anyone ever seen or done this, pros, cons?
Thanks

'72 has pot metal extensions which vibrate at a difference frequency then the sheet metal the fenders are made of, '70 and '71 are composite and also vibrate differently, anyway what I am tiring to say is it will crack over time. If you must do it try using panel bond, it's a two part epoxy used for gluing cars together where you can't weld. Don't forget to scuff it to give it something to bond too.

res1vw21 is right on the money.
Also.. due to different materials, different density, I would expect them to expand and contract at different rates during temperature changes. again perhaps cracking at the union.
