This years car show will be one that you don't want to miss. We have a lot of special items of interest and some very special guests that are going to be at the show. The club and Huffines C-J-D have each purchased one of the die cast commemorative models of the 1967 GTX driven by the late Ronnie Sox. We are currently selling raffle tickets for these two cars and will sell them right up to the time the tickets are drawn at the car show. Diane Sox, the wife of Ronnie Sox will be at the show to draw the winning tickets and Clark Rand, the owner of the real Sox & Martin GTX will be bringing that car and the 1968 HEMI Barracuda to our show also. All proceeds of the sale of the raffle tickets will be presented to the Ronnie Sox Foundation. Information about the foundation can be found at www.ronniesox.com.
Also coming to the show is Butch "the California Flash" Leal, long time Mopar racer and winner of 12 NHRA national events. When him and fellow member Joe Smith sit down to talk, these guys can tell some stories. Butch has a new web site that can be found at www.butchleal.com and you can read a lot about his racing history. We will also have several nostalgia super stock cars from the Texas Outsiders on display.
