arrived in Huntsville last night for the sick smokies event. day 0 (registration/test day) is tomorrow at rocket city drag strip. I'll post the schedule below.
we decided to tow the dart down for this event since jamie is a week out of surgery and would probably be pretty uncomfortable in the dart for 13 hours .plus we decided to head down early and the camper saves on hotel rooms. we stayed over night at the local bass pro shop parking lot. having everything we need in the camper makes it easy and its nice to be able to stop anywhere when we get tired.
hopefully I'll get a bunch of pictures to share. supposed to be about 70 gassers on the trip too which should be cool as long as we don't get stuck behind them on a twisty road.
here is the schedule for the week. gonna be about a 900 mile loop through the smokies.
Sunday, October 12 - Day Zero (Tech & Testing), Rocket City Dragway
Racer gates open 7am, spectator gates open 8am.
Tech from 8am, testing from 2pm.
