Dick Trickle apparently takes his own life...

Damn.Great driver,and spokesman. Rest in peace,you made the most of it.
 
Sad to hear, when I was young my dad always talked about him and had seen him race here in MN at the state fairgrounds, he was my dads favorite driver too....RIP Dick, you will be missed.

i had the pleasure of meating mr trickle a few times years ago he was a character. i never saw him without a cigarette in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other he was a racer not a pretty boy they have in the sprint cup now.

Maybe he had terminal cancer... One of the funniest things was him lighting up a cig under caution! Maybe that bit him in the end.

I understand if he was suffering from an illness. I certainly don't want to go the way my uncle went out of this world... no way, no how!

His nephews murder really got to him as well.
