Difference between clear and tinted windows?

Many months ago I took my 1964 Sport Fury to a mechanic and the driver's side window came out pretty scratched. I always thought the windows were clear and I've been looking on eBay for a replacement. I finally found one, but it is listed as "tinted." However, the eBay picture looks pretty clear. I checked the 1964 parts book and the factory did offer the windows in clear and tinted. I would not want to put in a tinted window if the others are clear.

How can you tell without having them side by side?
 
Clear is just that , clear. Put your hand behind it & it doesn't change color. Tinted/ shade will show a green hue. Lawrence
 
Factorys' coke bottle green glass was pretty much limited to a/c equipped general production builds.
Back when, a lot of buyers wouldn't drive 100+ miles to the nearest dealership to look for the car they wanted. Instead they mail ordered their new car using a brochure with check boxes. Eventually they would drive to the dealership to take delivery on the car they had ordered w/tented glass and w/o factory air.
