Differences in Formula S Emblems

Found on ebay:1965 66 67 68 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda NOS MoPar Formula S EMBLEM | eBay

And this is the wording in the Ad:
NOS MoPar #2579443 Formula "S" medallion for 1965, 1966, 1967, and 1968 Plymouth Barracuda cars. These are used on the left and right fenders of the cars with the high revving HP V8 engines, 273, 340, and 383 and heavy duty suspension options. I know that some have a different Red White and Blue scheme, and some 1965 cars have different pin location, but these are what they are! New never installed.

We all know its wrong now. '442 were '65 only. Redrill for '443 and have a new flat set I suppose. They are 443 repops for <$60 online from restoration shops.

Yea, this is what is left from the old mitchell motor parts, frank mitchell, they sell a lot of shelf worn stuff for top dollar. But what does he mean about the different color combinations?

Yeah I remember seeing a thread a few years back about the same thing...I think Keith @66340SEDAN started it?

I sure did....just snapped some pictures of one of my emblems....#2579442....came off a 1965 Barracuda Formula S years ago in a junkyard when I was a kid in the 1980’s for his 66...I remember there was a 1966-S next to it and my dad bought both sets, the 65’s were nicer so he pulled them first, then realized they were different so he pulled the ones from the 66....the 65 Formula S emblems are a one year deal and hard to find

Any feedback on the 66 emblem on the 65 fender?
The fender I was going to try the 66 one I have didn't work with the hole the previous owner put in the fender. When I get back to it I'm going to open them up a little bit. The 66 one I have is complete flat without any sort of curve that the 65 fender has.
Pishta shown an example of the amount of curve the 65 emblem has, (not very much at all) but i think it is what it's going to need to set on the fender correctly. I examined a V8 emblem from a 65 and found it has the same curve.
I'm toying with the thought of taking a drimell sander to put a slight curve to the 66 after I find out how far it sets off of each end of the edges.
