hey guys. i was taking my front end off today to do all my new bushings when i noticed my strut rods are different. the one on the drivers side has fine threads where it mounts to the k frame. i took this one off fine, but when i got to the other side, my socket wouldnt fit because the threaded part of the strut rod was longer. then i noticed the threads are corse. i havent taken the passenger side one off yet to see if they are the same length. it just concerns me that they are different. has anyone run into this problem? i guess it would be a good excuse to order some new heavy duty ones!

I see you never got a response, I'm looking at the same issue. Obviously there are two "styles", I'm trying to find out applications. I'm checking aftermarket sources to see if there's differences as well. Did you ever find out ?

Some where in the mid 70s up are different, they are a little beefier as well,Ive seen people mix them before,I believe the one I saw was out of a 75 duster.
