Ok.. Im about to take the AC apart so I can paint the engine bay. Is there any way to store or keep from having to flush the system after all the work is done and its back together??? Any tips would be great, Thanks
Don't try to save on this project, I spent more trying to save than it cost to have a shop pump it and charge it $50. You will need a new dryer, $15 you will be much happier with the results if you do it right.

Mainly because it's probably never been replaced. If it has been recently, tape it up as soon as you bust the lines loose. Any humidity in the air will get sucked into it and render it junk. Plus, they be cheap, and yer system will work a heck of a lot better with a good drier.
Yup, replace the drier. Depending on year model you'll have a fixed orifice tube that should be replaced or a mechanical expansion valve that has a stack of cone shaped screens. Those can be removed and cleaned.
