My disk brakes are '73+.

When I install the flexible brake hose from the caliper to the bracket on the frame, the hose has to be snaked around the shock. This is good as long as I am turning hard in one direction. If I turn in the other direction, the hose is tight against the shock.

The fitting / hose I was sold is a banjo nut that goes through a square fitting with a long aluminum tail.

It would seem to me that a simple male fitting would work better.

Went back to napa and they swear it is the right hose..these are car guys..that maybe I need another bracket on the one that is attached to the frame.

This doesn't sound right to me.

What do you use as the flexible cable from the caliper to frame ?

Thanks
ian.

i used 73 duster flexible hose went i put 73+ disc on my 71 Demon....

I should take pics.

69383, I thought a direct route would be best but even my manual shows this..it comes off the caliper ..then you have to circle the shock...then the hose connects to the bottom of the bracket..

is an aspen hose longer ?

Thanx
Ian.

Ok, so here is the hose and the measurements...

Do folks with identical set ups have a different hose ?

Another issue I didn't think would be a problem..

Thanks
Ian.
