Basically, once the turn signal switch is out of the way, there is a snap ring right above the bearing. Remove the bearing (might be kind of tough as there is a rubber ring around the bearing - it was when I pulled my column apart!), then remove the lower snap ring and the center shaft will slide right on out from the bottom. There are 3 special nuts and "T" bolts holding the upper collar to the lower - don't lose the hardware! That's it in a nut shell.
