I have a 72 Dart with a 440 and 800cmf edelbrock, will mechcanical pump work or do I need to install an electric? can I install both inline?

there is a HP carter mechanical that will work upto a certain point... M4862
unless you are pushing 650+ horsepower and/or nitrous
also they make a nice HP electrical pump that does not require return lines and is much quieter than the holley pumps. p4601HP
either way you go, if your gas tank is 40yrs old, you might want to swap it out when you can afford it; fresh 3/8 lines all the way back. you never know what is in that old tank
