On the listing on summit for a Mopar performance oil pan gasket it says that you need two to run a windage tray, is the true or false. I know you need two for a big block. Do you need two gasket sets when running a small block with a windage tray?

This is for a stock type 340 windage tray and stock oil pan. Okay so I have two different answers here.... Which is correct?

I would think if the tray has hole like the oil pan does yes, if it fits inside no.

The tray appears to only have little lip, theres no flange for oil pan bolts or anything like that.

Then I would think one. My 440 mounts where the gasket goes in those holes.

The factory stock 340 windage tray bolts to specially threaded main cap bolts on the #2 and #4 main caps. It does not go under the oil pan. You WILL need the special threaded main cap bolts from a 340 because the 318 won't have them.

A big block windage tray bolts between the oil pan and the block, so you need two gaskets.
