Does this sound right?

Finally got her all out back together. New battery, new starter relay. Have spark. Using some starter fluid. Starter turns over but Could it be my starter?
Wish I could post a video of it turning over..

If the starter motor runs but doesn't turn over the engine it's most likely the starter solenoid. 65'

Does it sound like the starter is free wheeling without engaging the flywheel gear?

Maybe something mechanically jammed, in the starter drive/ housing/ bell etc, as well, or just really gummed up Avoid using starting fluid on a new engine. Did it fire? Pop back? Maybe you broke it "kicked" on the starter
