Don't understand the obsession with ARP bolts

-
If you can only do good work with high quality tools, well, ugh

If the fit is poor you can tell that before you start tightening too much. What bolts need 250 lbs, maybe the crank bolt, about it. Head bolts can be more fussy but most bolts up to 50 lbs can be done with China tools. Removing rusty bolts does pay to have high quality tools but why work on junk in the first place ? My cars are all most rust free--if you work in a shop then that is another story

I was a high quality tool believer but times have changed. Funds are more limited, why buy the best tools when its not really needed.

I brought a extra long 9/16 open end-box wench comb from Homedepot, Husky brand tools, it works just fine. Only brought it cause my header pipes were loose under the car and I was miles from home. Crawled under the car in the parking lot and tighten the 3 bolts up

Its in my tool box and it works as good as the S&K tools, IMO

Some pro mechanics can-will only work on cars with a hoist. Yeah it is the best way to go but isn't always needed. Doesn't mean you can not pull a rwd trans out of a car with only 4 jack stands and a floor jack, just takes more effort--and if you F up, you can always blame not having a hoist, ha ha
