I am working on a '72 Duster that has had both doors replaced.

I had the doors off and the glass out to paint the car. I thought the glass lined up well enough that I could adjust the tracks and make it work but... When I roll the windows up the glass leans in too much. So much so that with the weather stripping in the channel it keeps the door from closing completely.

I have the window tracks adjusted all the way in (towards the inside of the door to pull the glass out at the top). But, I still need maybe 3/16" on both sides (both doors!).

I wanted to ask, is there a trick to adjusting the glass? Am I missing something?

I dont know a lot about the Dusters but I have seen several threads about wrong weather stripping. There must be some difference in the year models.
Good luck

Thanks for the link - I am going to check it out right now.

That was my first thought. I WAS using a Metro brand gasket in the channel but, was not happy with it at all. I ditched it and ordered a Steele brand.

The Steele brand does appear to fit is better but, with the weather stripping out I can close the door and see that the glass wants to go past the inside lip of the channel. I can not roll the window up with the door closed. :angry5:
