Door Handle Replacement

Purchased new door handles fron Classic for my 69 Barracuda. I am stumped as to how the rod attaches to the nub on the latch assembly. Either it won't press on or it is on but not tight. It pops right off. Suggestions?

Pictures certainly help.. have you got the retainer clip?

If you pop it on you may have ruined the clip. The clip slips down over the rod after installed and is a lock.

WTB post and someone would probably send you one for postage. Megaparts clip kit is 10 or 15 bucks.

Thanks. Found the clip in the bottom of the door. BTW Classic has them for 99 cents each PLUS $10.98 shipping! DISGRACEFUL
