Hi all,
I need a little help, and maybe a part or two.
Suddenly, my 69 Dart passanger side door unlatch button doesn't work. (have to reach inside to unlatch door).
I disassembled and can see the button assy from inside the door is missing a pin or a stamped shaft pulled away. This excessive play is keeping the button from unlatching and opening the door.
I removed the interior door panel, hoping to find something simple like the usual issue, like a clip or something..
I really dont want to disassemble any further, especially if I need a part. Traveling to Carlisle midweek.
Anybody deal with this pivot?
See last pic.
Thanks
Joe

looking at photos of aftermarket handles looks like there should be a roll pin there.

My money says remove the handle and the issue will be evident. If the roll pin will not stay in a screw with a nylock on the end should fix it for the next 50 years.

I'm surprised it's not laying at the bottom of the door.

Yep.
The roll pin backed out.
Gonna carefully bench it back in place.
Keep you posted.
Thanks

One new fresh roll pin did the trick.
Funny how I second guess things when its my own car. Lol
If I was working on my neighbors car?... Would have been fixed in 15 minutes.
I see why surgeons shouldn't operate on family members.
Thanks everyone.
