Anybody used DOT 5 silicone brake fluid.
I have all new brake components and considering using DOT 5, doesn't damage paint and does not absorb moisture. heard that the pedal appears spongy though compared to DOT 3 or 4.
Any experience with this stuff?
Thanks.

my Dart is filled with Dot 5

I have all new SS brake lines, 10" rear drums and SSBC disc brake on front. Everything seems OK, good pedal feel, plenty of stopping power

If installing a complete new system I would do it again

I have dot 5 in my 65 Dart.Works fine. Cant really tell any difference from
dot 3. Really like it because of the paint thing.

Tip for you: Do not shake the bottle at all, or air bubbles will form in it, making it tough to bleed.

same here, user of dot 5 and no problems or issues. Good pedal and great stopping. I would do it again as well.
