Is the double balist resistor needed with Chrome ECU, constant output voltage reg, and 78 amp dual field alternator? If not, where do the xtra wires go?

it is always good to use it even if it runs fine without it it gives you somewhere to plug the wires up to and keep it looking neat

The ballast has the incorrect amount of ohms and the correct unit should be put in it's place. The connecttions should be flipped upside down and installed on the new resister.
The constant voltage output regulator and larger amp Alt. have nothing to do with it.

MoPar, it's in there book. Have the man look up the part number for the correct unit so the ohms match.

The extra 2 terminals are for the 5 ohm resister that was an auxilary circuit on the older 5 pin ECU box's. Most are all 4 pin now and you dont use the 5 ohm circuit. The other side was from .5 to 1 ohm and it went to the coil. If you get the single ballast resistor from Mopar it should be about .75 to 1 ohm and like was said just tuck the 2 wire ends under the harness or you could tape them up. Ron
