Saw a post this morning that Arsenal Firearms has released their Model AF2011-A1 double-barrel .45acp semi-automatic pistol for sale. I'm not sure if this is double-the-fun or overkill.
Of course, if you need to put 18 .45 rounds (totals over 4000 grains) into your target in less than 3 seconds, then this fits your requirement.
Gives a whole new meaning to "double-tap".

Well the 1911 is my favorite pices to shoot but i prefer the 10mm version.I know after many years of firing these i think it would scare the hell out of who ever was looking down the wrong side of the barrel ,but it has to be a bear to handle and the ablity ti be accurate must bea challenge .

That being said I ill take one.Hell yeah

Holy mother of Colt... :prayer: "Go ahead, make my day, punk!" :finga:

"Did he fire 18 rounds... or only 16?" :D

Better hope you hit the threatening target the first time because it will take a little longer to recover from the recoil!

Seems to me this is something you'd expect to see in a real bad dective movie, or maybe the terminator 'er somethin.

Lol, I gaurantee you that'll be in a movie soon enough.

Would I shoot one of those? Hell yeah. Maybe even even two at the same time, one in each hand..... just to see if I could. They probably weigh about 4 lbs. each, so recoil might not be that bad.

That looks like something "Sledgehammer" would carry.

I seriously thought that was photoshopped but then I clicked on the link and it looks legit.

I'd love to fire it, but I think the gun is like the 44 Magnum, great bragging rights but not very practical.

Think I'll send the link to my dad, he's the type of guy who'd buy one.

Regards,

Joe Dokes

I'm sure it's practical, in the sense that it'd be highly effective in making a mugger/thief/car jacker crap himself

Although multiple barrels isn't anything new, the design dates back into the 1800's with guns like the Pepperbox and LeMat.

I'd hate to have to clear a malfunction on that thing. Racking the slide(s) on a gun with two recoil springs made for a .45acp!?

Definitely a novelty item and perfect for "One Upmanship" when your buddies drop by or at the range. I really can't think of a pratical use for it except maybe close range hog hunting but a .44 mag would be more accurate, eaiser to carry and pack just as much punch if not more. Might be good for home/garage defense.... two hollow point 230 gr. "flying ashtray" bullets with a single pull of the trigger would be devastating, much less emptying the magazine on an intruder. It's a Valentines Day Massacre in a 4 pound package.
