doug thorley headers

-
Seller says they are def for the early 5.7s....musta sold out of the late ones...but Ive asked if he has any.....

Does anybody know if the Doug's Headers work with the fast ratio pitman/idler in a B/E-body application?

Sorry...:( I scooped the last set of D-ports he had...

If for some reason they won't work for me, do you want me to let you know?

Wow I thought we this topic. AND YES BEWARE OF OLD STOCK PEOPLE!

The pitman arm issue is a good question

I got those D4477-R

Clears nicely with fast ratio steering, Not sure yet, but i also think that will also clear with stock small block starter.

Not clear so nicely with original steering box, engine will need to sit quite high, tight fit with that. Mine milodon pan is bit over k-frame level

And goes basically attached to torsion bars. So i decided to heat and bent my headers i bit, also swap V-band flanges to them.

Got only bit crappy pics online, drivers side header is allreay bent in that final pic, think that wiĺl need to bent back bit closer to torsion bar to make starter fit. And passenger side hasn´t been bent, itś loose on that pic.

I mounted my engine about 1,5" right from centerline

Any chance of a total width as per the attached pic:

PS: These are cheap late model headers.

Width was basically exactly same that torsion bars width, there were about 2mm gap to torsion bars on both sides
