We made it to Sunday and last 8 raced cars in Stock Eliminator
at the Winternationals.
If you are attending = Stop and say Hello!
We have to face a multiple World Champion next Round this coming
afternoon from a legendary racing family who have been winning championships
since the 1960's.

Good luck to yall, John! I sure wish I could be there! Wish yall the best! Keep us posted.

Good luck to you John. Knock the tree down with a .000 and make the Red light say "DAMMITT"!

 :steering:
Last Time I knocked down the tree here = They were screaming mad!!!
Maybe someone can post a picture or two.

"Knocking down the tree LITERALLY"

Well Jon had a great light especially under the pressure of
being in the late rounds on Sunday of National Event = .022
and being first to leave (10 Second dial) vs Brian dialing faster
(9 Second dial). However, Brian hammered the tree with = .010
and ran us down.

This is the first time in a few years that we did not bring home the
Dodge "Top Finisher" Award for the Mopar that went the furthest at
Pomona. Our good friend's team from Clay Smith Cams (71 Cuda 340 E/SA went
one more round that we did (Final Four) with Chad Langdon (Shawn
Langdon the Fuel Driver's Dad) driving.

Before I was old enough to drive, I would ride my Moped 15 miles do to their
shop and drive his Father in Law George crazy with questions. He is the one who
taught me Cylinder Head and Camshaft Tech and prepared my Heads and supplied
my Camshafts for many decades.

Yall had fun no doubt! I remember seeing the picture of you mowin down the tree. It's on here somewhere!

Here at 4 Wide Nationals in Vegas = I have
Ryan McClanahan #3 in the world in his 8 Seconds
Superstocker next round. The son of Brian in the legendary
racing family. It will take the best I have to make a good race
out of it in my Demon!

Well, I am heading Home.

We had a Funny Car oil down the entire track causing
a 2 Hour delay.
This meant we were pushed back to race late in the day.

A lot of the cars were spinning in the left lane.
After I lost the coin toss Ryan put me in the left lane which
was certainly his prerogative.

I had broken the Dana 60 in the Aspen Superstock at Winternationals
two weeks ago and was forced to put my Demon 340 Stocker into Superstock.
The Demon 340 Stocker runs a 9 inch wide by 30 tire (Class Rules) while real
Superstocker's run as large as 14 Wide by 32 Tires. My car run 1.3s @60Ft. and
generally hooks on any track on the small tire. But the track was slick which put me
at a disadvantage. I lowered the tire pressure from 22 to 17 and the starting line RPM
to 3200 from 3700 on the 2 Step.

Nevertheless, the tree came down and I hit my spot perfectly BUT the tires exploded
and the car nearly stood still like I was still in the water box (1.6+ 60 Ft.) and the race
was over before it started.

Jon Jr. went .002 Red the same round after beating one of the best drivers year in and
out from the Northwest Area - Tommy Gaynor the previous round.
Jon parleyed a .018 light to Tommy's .017 and closed the finish down nicely
with a 10.850 on a 10.84 in his Superstock SS/KA Duster (Real Superstocker)
