Any one know a permanent fix for a leaky slip yoke? Mine is dripping on my x-pipe after the car sits for a few days.

I'm thinking permatex ultra black, but any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you haven't already replaced the seal, try getting the seal with a longer rubber boot, it sticks out of the trans about an inch or better. If you have the seal with the longer rubber boot, try getting the seal that sits flush with the tail shaft. Just my thoughts, I hope it helps.

Replace the seal and bushing and make sure the yoke is smooth and even. If the leak is between the seal and extension housing, some RTV should do the trick as long as there are no cracks.

sounds to me that the bushing needs replaced.if you have replaced the seal.........Artie............OR the shaft isn't long enough to go all the way threw the bushing

pull the joint, clean the plug well, coat with jb weld and problem solved
