Drive shaft identification

I have an nos drive shaft and trying to figure out what it’s for. Overall length from end to end is 50 3/8 inches number on end is 072602A

break out your parts books and start digging. this is 67 so it coulsd be any year. But the lengths might give you a clue what cars/eng/trans/rear combos to be looking at.

by the looks of it, A Body, slant 6, 904, with 7 1/4" rear.

V8 small block, 904, 8 3/4 are closer to 48" cause the 8 3/4 chunk sits 2" more forward, causing the need for the shorter drive shaft.

Somewhere on the tube should be a 7 digit part number, the digits are small.

My 70 340 dart swinger is 49 1/2 overall length. So 48 ctc of the u joints. 340/727/8.75. Kim
