I've got a 72 Swinger with a 340 , 727, 8 1/4". I had a drive shaft built at machine shop. The shaft came back too short. I've got a 72 scamp parts car I could use the shaft and have it shortened. The only thing is the original shaft is about 3 1/8" diameter at largest part. The scamp shaft is about 3" diameter. Can anyone tell me if this would pose a problem ? The car will be street driven only and not raced .
