im going from short tail to long tail tranny, i have extra drive shift to cut to fit, but before i do this,i was wondering if anyone has done this before and found a drive shft off another model that fit other then haveing to cut one... its for a 69 barracuda

I assume you must mean you've replaced a 904 torqueflite with a 727 torqueflite cause that's the only way I think you could have had a shorter trans in your car. Is this correct? If so all you need is a driveshaft for a 67-69 Dart or Barracuda with a 727 trans. and the same rearend you have in your car. There are also 2 different U-joint sizes so you have to make sure it matches that too.

Addendum: I just got to thinking you might be refering to a manual trans. I had auto trans. stuck on the brain. Duh!! If it's a manual trans. I don't know much about them but the same applies that you need to know what trans. and rearend and u-joint size and any from a 67-69 Dart or Cuda with those same options will fit.

manual trans came out and auto is going in for now. im keeping in mind about the u-joint. i'll get some meserments. on it later.
