Does anyone have a distance back to there driveshaft loop from maybe the X member in a 4speed car. I can guess but I would rather have the measurement

Maximum of 6" behind the front U-joint, made of 1/4" minimum thickness by 2" wide material, or 7/8" X .065" welded tubing.

Per NHRA

Thanks guys I don`t have the transmission in the car so I was looking for a measurement

This is a “No duh!” But .....
Wait until the trans and driveshaft are in the car.

Heres the one i got, some machinist was making them and was selling them on ebay, it is adjustable and bolts to the cross member

That hole is there, look at the last pic, if you zoom in you can see the hole is already there, may just be like a bump stop in case the loop were to ever come in contact with the floor

There is a hole for a bolt at the top of the "loop" at the end so you can bolt it to the trans tunnel floor as well as the cross member. I did it and reinforced that area before putting my carpet in just so it was extra strong. If I think of it later today I'll take a picture of mine so you can see it installed.
