Drum color

Color reference chart a member posted shows drums as semi gloss black or natural. Is there a specific reason for the difference, i.e. year, wheel, option, etc...? I have rallye wheels and would like to know what others with rallyes have for drum color.

Chrysler bean counters. All should be natural or by now rust.

My understanding is...

If the brum is visible through the wheel it would be black.

If not natural

I think red for magnum 500's

always paint mine black.

Natural unless the car had styled wheels then the face was red (brushed sloppily).
This was in 1970, not sure about earlier years.
