New member here. I don’t have an ABody but there seams to be a lot of good info on this site. I am changing cams to a Hughes .543” lift intake .563” lift exhaust, solid flat tappet. I am also changing to double valve springs that will have 365# at .550” of lift. I was planning on using MP ductile iron adjustable rockers that do not have bushings. Has anyone heard or seen any issues with these rockers with higher # springs? I have heard they can damage the rocker shafts and have even welded themselves to the shafts from getting so hot.

welcome here. banana grove the oiling holes on the shafts with a hand file, die grinder or cutting wheel then lightly sand the edges of the grove. also over at bigblockdarts there is some good info on all to do full time oiling to the rockers.

like bob said with the banana grove.and i restricted the oil holes down to 100ths.but i run 40or50wt.oil.with the 590dc.cam i ran it on the street &strip for two yr.with no prob.if this helps.

I bought a 440 with the ductile rockers (they creeped me out) they were a bit harsh on the valve stems and that "bannana groove" is an excellent idea, I do something similiar to the rocker shaft spacer shims on the stands that oil comes up thru to improve flow. With a small warding file I make the round hole look like a 4 leaf cover.

ive been running factory ductile adjustable rocker arms with factory banana grooved shafts for years,,,with a solid high lift blower cam,,altho they may be mass produced, and not every one is exact as far as ratio geomotry,,from what ive read they hold up better then any after market bushed or roller fulcrom,,,
