Durango/Ram axle

Anyone know if an axle out of a Durango or Ram would fit in a 67 barracuda? How involved would it be to modify it to fit? Just thinking that truck axles should be beefier than the 8 1/4 i have now and that Dana 60's should be fairly easy to pick up from a late model ram.

No. Different spline count and length. By the time you cut them down enough to fit you'll loose all the hardening so it's not a good idea. Plus you might have a problem finding a bearing to fit correctly. Ram's don't use Dana 60's anyway.
