I am trying to go to a little bit taller of a tire on the front of my 73 Duster, so it will sit up a bit more in the front and maybe not drag the headers as much. It is a stock suspension with stock front disk brakes. I am running Crager SS wheels, I believe 15x7 or 15x8. What is the tallest tire that I can run without any kind of rub? Is 27" possible? Please provide tire numbers, if possible for examples.

27 is way to tall i just went through issue with mine, i ended up using 215 60 14's they are about 24 inches tall 7inch on a 7 1/2inch wide wheel.

What tire and wheel size combo is on your Scamp? It looks like it fills up the wheel well nicely.

I have a 215/65R15 on the front of my '71 Duster on a 15 x 7 rallye. These tires new were 26.2 tall. I don't think much taller would fit.

26" is about the limit...but it looks the best. I've got 205/65/15's on the front of the Scamp...they are 25.5" tall. Thinking of going to a MT 26/7.5/15 front runner....
