I doubt they increased by 600 lbs. in three years. My '70 318 Duster is around 3,000 lbs. unloaded, yours might be a bit more for whatever reason.

3205 WAS THE NEW CAR WEIGHT ON A 1972 DEMON 340 4spd w/bench seat. I DROVE IT OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR TO MIDAS MUFFLER AND HAD MUFFLERS REPLACED WITH STRAIGHT PIPE, FILLED UP THE TANK WITH SPECIAL BREW AND WEIGHED IT . JACK AND SPARE TIRE IN CAR AND WITH ME OUT, ON SCALES WEIGHED 3205 !

My /6 '74 is listed on the reggie at around 2700.

MOPE, depending on equipment and how filled he was, AKA gasoline and trunk parts, I think it is a bit high, but not unreasonable. The big bumpers are heavy along with added door braces and possible equipment over yours.

The A/C units, in total are heavy. Do you supose buckets weigh more?

I'm hopin my Duster didn't gain to much with the 318 thrown in it. I did put on headers, aluminum intake and carb. Lost the fan in favor of the electric fan.
